I haven't updated this thing in a while

Well, last weekend I headed to Mini-Animania in Brisbane, a fair amount of effort went into packing the merchandise and hauling it to the airport with vdias. But we managed it, and so vdias and I arrived at the airport on time (although a little later than intended, due to someone playing too much War3.

We then checked in using Virginblue's self check in thing, so much faster than having to wait in line, although it probably would have been the same speed either way at that time, as there were no queues, we were catching the last plan to Brisbane for that day after all.

And so we arrived in Brisbane, and at the place we were staying for that single night at about 11:30 or so, and we called up Mik3 so we could find out the details of the booking that he amended (he couldn't get a room for himself and dimsum, so he amended our booking).

Torane and Travis arrived the next morning, and for a period, my laptop was being used to charge 3 other devices (an iPod through firewire, a DS and vdias's phone), we then headed out to the con, and helped get everything set up.

Then the con started, and it was okay, we sold enough to cover the cost of the table and of the production of the merchandise that was sold, but not really much beyond that, it was not much of an exciting day in that regard.

I did break down and buy Azumanga Daioh DVDs 2 to 6, because I bought the starter box, and then didn't keep up with the releases, and it was my only unfinished box set. It has however highlighted a serious need for space for my DVD collection, I should probably buy a small cabinet or something to keep em in.

After the con closed Slykura let vdias and I put our stuff in his room, and we hung around for a while while everyone else headed back to their rooms and organised what they were going to do for dinner, and once that was done we headed to catch a train to the airport.

It was interesting to hear vdias and Sly catch up, because they were both on the anime club scene so to say, much earlier than I was, and so were discussing things I knew very little about.

In any case, it turned out that the train we headed to catch was the last train to the airports for that evening, and we then went and caught the last plane to sydney (from virginblue anyway).
