My 21st birthday finished just under 45 minutes ago (as I started to write this) so now seems as good a time as ever to make the first update to my LJ since April of last year.
And what have I achieved in that time?
Completed my Bachelor of Science (adv.), which is good because I was worried for a while that I would not get that (adv.) bit.
Been accepted into a Masters of Commerce at Sydney Uni, which I have then deferred to this year.
Failed to obtain full time employment
Started up an informal computer help and repair service.
Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed the break from full time university, but I do have my regrets that I did not work harder at university, and that I have not had enough persistence with regards to job seeking. Realistically had I been searching hard for a job, I would have one by now, but I don't, and I haven't.
Thus this is currently my main goal, once my 21st has run it's course, the job hunting shall and must become top priority, because otherwise I know I will just peter out and the longer I am unemployed, the harder it is to explain why I have been doing in the meantime.Fortunately I do technically have employment, but part-time, a few hours a week, work is unsatisfying and unviable in the long-term.
I think I shall begin to update this LJ more often, since I really do need a place to record what I have done, and what I have yet to do in order to help keep me on track.
Not the best post I know, but I have had less than 3 and a half hours sleep, so I really should be headed to bed.
Night all
